With only a couple of weeks remaining before conference championships arrive, Week 12 made sure to clarify the criteria the selection committee’s values as the postseason field begins to take shape, and we were not disappointed one bit with the action throughout the weekend. Texas A&M delivered the weekend’s most dramatic storyline, storming back from a 30-3 deficit behind Marcel Reed to keep its undefeated run alive and preserve a top-three standing. Georgia tightened its grip on national relevance with a dominant win over previously tenth-ranked Texas, while Ole Miss, Texas Tech, and Indiana all held firm heading into critical stretches. The national conversation, however, turned in large part to Norman, where Oklahoma stunned Alabama in a game that may have cracked open the playoff race for a crowded one-loss tier. Out west, USC continued its late surge to set up a season-defining clash with Oregon, and Notre Dame handled the spotlight in Pittsburgh with authority.
